Christmas List
What do you want for Christmas?
Ok, I know. It’s not about gifts, it’s about Jesus, and about family, and all that jazz.
But seriously. I want a new kitchen.
Wayne and I have been talking about upgrading our kitchen for years, and I think we’re finally going to do it this year, if Santa Claus helps us out. I also asked for a few books, and some winter running gear.
So that’s my list. Now it’s your turn. Spill your guts. What do you really want for Christmas?
And if you’re stuck, you know what makes a great holiday present?
Books!
And you know what books are just perfect for your holiday giving?
[WARNING: SHAMELESS SELF-PROMOTION AHEAD]
I have a few suggestions: this, and this, and this, and a little of this, and a few of these, and you’re in business.
By the way, all I really want for Christmas is you.

Books really are the only things or possessions that excite me, much to my wife’s chagrin (she often feels swamped by the hundreds of books we own, stacks and towers and boxes of them in addition to the five full bookcases). I suppose this is why I’m in the business of teaching them and selling them, no?
I love books, don’t get me wrong, but this Christmas I’d really like a job and a boyfriend. Yup that’s about it, oh and world peace.
“The video content is not available in your country”.
However, I give and hope to get a lot of books for Christmas.
Ah, Mariah. I can’t WAIT for my sister’s rendition of this song next week.
I always give and hope to get at least a few books. But I hope you get that new kitchen, Anne!
I want a new kitchen too! Or at least, a dishwasher. But that’s not going to happen until the basement is finished which means I will probably be asking for this again next year
I also really wanted a laptop–one of those new “mini” ones–but I think that’s waiting for the tax return.
Whatever I’m getting will be a surprise though since I wasn’t really specific with hubby. And he’s pretty much told me not to enter his workshop at all–so I know he’s making me something
A new kitchen would be off the hook, as the kids say. But I’d settle for a pasta maker, a 12 qt. stock pot and a microzester.
Oh: and a zebra-print Snuggie..
PS: In case you’re still looking for gift ideas and want to give something more meaningful than, say, the aforementioned Snuggie, take a looksee here.
A new toilet. I know, lame. A boyfriend would be nice…if Santa is handing them out this year.
My Dad is giving my mom a Kindle and so I got her Kindle bucks and a long list of recommendations. I’m so excited for her. She reads…oh a book a week I’d say. She’s a machine!
I want…let’s see…actually I really want more Harry Potter books on audio and I think my sister is giving me that. I also am hoping my mother in law will bake me her world famous pumpkin bread.
Also, I’d love universal health care for Christmas. That one’s for my baby sister who has diabetes and has trouble getting health insurance.
i really just want a winter coat. mine is just not doing the job this year…
Um I SO bought two of your books for my mother-in-law’s gift this year.
